On October 14, 2024, the LSBR community gathered at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam to celebrate 25 years of pioneering research and innovation in blood transfusion. The event featured inspiring keynotes, engaging presentations from LSBR fellowship recipients, and exciting announcements about new research grants to support emerging talent.
Highlights included Marcel Levi's keynote, on the work and times of Karl Landsteiner and the diffent approach of today’s research, and insights into cutting-edge studies from leaders like Jaap van Buul, Anna Marneth, Alexander Vlaar, and Maartje van den Biggelaar. We also unveiled a one-time  €1.6 million anniversary grant aimed at fostering collaboration and advancing transfusion medicine.
